Chubu Region map

Mikuni-cho lies along the coast of Sakai City in the north of Fukui Prefecture. It is an integral part of the major sightseeing area in Fukui with scenic beauty located in the middle of the main highway running through Hokuriku region called Hokurikuji starting from Tsuruga and Obama area to Kanazawa.

Mikuni-cho has retained graceful atmosphere of an old port town that enjoyed long years of prosperity. It has not only beautiful coastline where you can see the sunset whose beauty is beyond description, but also hot springs that make you relax and melt your heart. You can find another aspect of Mikuni as a port town in the liveliness of the fishing port full of fishing boats. You will be overwhelmed by the powerful sight of Tojinbo, a famous beauty spot with high, long cliffs along the coast of the Japan Sea.

Mikuni is full of beautiful natural sceneries that feast your eyes. We are looking forward to your visit to our town, Mikuni.
